When I start the car it idles at about 4000 to 4500 rpm and it stays that high all the time.
If it helps: this problem started 4 months ago back then it would idle at about 2000rpm when in neutral or parked I was told that a vacuum leak was the cause but I couldnt find it. And since then I start the car here and then to try to find the leak, but like I said now it's idling @ 4000 to 4500rpm so I cant let the car running for long can you tell me if you think a vacuum leak is the cause for this problem?
Any help will be greatly appreciated

May well be a vacuum leak or a problem with the IAC system, you can use a length od vacuum hose as a stethoscope, place end in your ear and place other end around manifold and throttle body etc. And you can pick up a vacuum leak hearing the sucking noise.
