2001 Mercedes Benz E320 Drive belt keep coming off

Serpentine belt keep coming off. We changed the tension pulley, idle pulley, serpentine belt, the alternator pulley is still new with alternator. Whenever I crank the car I hear a clunk sound and belt come off, no squeaking or anything. The belt comes off the Power steering pulley. I also noticed that the serpentine belt is not as tight as before we changed the tension pulley and I suspected the belt ain't tight enough to run the power steering pulley perhaps. We tried looking for ways to tighten the drive belt but couldnt get far, we tried the tensioner and its at its last tension point cant pull any further, we pulled the alternator out to see if there's a track it pivots on and we can pull from here no nothing.

I LOOKED UP YOUR BELT ROUTING IN "PRODEMAND"

I HIT A FEW OBSTACLES.

THERE ARE AT LEAST 8 DIFFERENT DIAGRAMS WITH DIFFERENT ROUTING

IF YOU COULD PROVIDE THE "VIN" AND THE "ENGINE NUMBER", MAYBE I COULD COME UP WITH THE CORRECT ROUTING DIAGRAM (IT MAY BE THAT YOU HAVE IT A LITTLE WRONG, BUT CLOSE ENOUGH TO MAKE THE TENSION "ALMOST RIGHT")

REGARDLESS, WRONG IS WRONG, IT WON'T PERFORM CORRECTLY UNLESS YOU HAVE IT 100% DEAD ON!

IF THIS IS A NEW BELT, COMPARE IT TO THE OLD ONE FOR LENGTH, SOMETIMES THEM DARN CELL PHONES INTERFERE WITH THE BRAIN WAVES/ JOB PRIORITIES OF THE SALESPERSON ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE COUNTER WHEN YOU MAKE A PURCHASE.

I AM "JUST SHOWING" YOU TWO DIAGRAMS OF A BUNCH THAT I FOUND FOR YOUR VEHICLE/ YEAR/ ENGINE SIZE. NEITHER OF THESE MAY BE CORRECT. YOU WILL SEE ON THE SECOND ONE THE ENGINE NUMBERS THAT ROUTING GOES WITH. THUS, THE NEED FOR YOUR ENGINE NUMBER (NOT THE LITER)

PLEASE EITHER CHECK YOUR DIAGRAM BETTER, WHICH MAYBE BE POSTED UNDER THE HOOD, INSURE YOU ARE ROUTING IT RIGHT, HAVE A PAL CHECK BEHIND YOU.

CHECK YOUR DIAGRAM/ INSTALLATION

COMPARE THE BELT LENGTHS

OR

SEND ME THE VIN AND ENGINE NUMBER

WHATEVER ROUTE YOU GO WITH, PLEASE LET US KNOW HOW THINGS WORK OUT!
