2001 Mercedes Benz C180 acceleration

When I switch on air- con and I accelerate, the car takes 3- 5 seconds before its starts moving which is dangerous especially when joining busy roads. So When joining I have to first switch off air con then switch
it back on when the car starts moving which is not normal for me so what could be the problem? Please help

So do you have no throttle response what so ever on the engine revs and you have no drive?

When I rev it wont rave or make any sound until after about 3-5 seconds thats when I get I rev sound and it drives. If it is in reverse its even worse

Better start with a scan, best to see if there are any codes in the system.
