This vehicle has a problem that I can not identify. Car was purchased new back in 2001 and maitained by Vehcile drives very well for the year and mileage and has been maintained by authorized Lexus dealers. When backing up in reverse intermittently, my vehicle will cut-off. Current solutuion to problem when this problem occurs, is to place the car in park and restart vehcile.

Any ideas and is the car worth getting repaired. No other major prblems eistanc

Could be a torque converter issue in the transmission. You need someone to verify this when the issue occurs.

As far as its worth, that is up to you. Can you replace the car for the amount of the repair?
