My owners manual says that oil change for my engine 3.0L takes 4.5 quarts, but only 1/3 fill showes on the dip stick. This a taurus SE 2001

There are three 3.0L engine's for that car I need the 8th digit of your vin to get you the oil spec's.

2001 ford Taurus with 3.5L engine are you sure?
2001 had two engines in the Taurus and both 3.0L
