Engine coolant system

My car blows cold air but if I add antifreeze it will warm up But I have to keep adding antifreeze every few days what can the problem be

Hello,

Ok, since you are having to add coolant every few days you have a leak somewhere.

Have you noticed any on the ground under your vehicle?

Does it blow white smoke out the exhaust?

No I don't see it leaking out on the ground, not sure about the exhaust. Just worried I don't want the auto mechanic to try and tell me there's more wrong than there really is They do that here to women and I am on a limited income.

Ok, if you can take a look at the coolant, does it look normal or does it appear to be foamy and the color of milk chocolate?

If Coolant looks fine check Oil is it over full and does it appear to be milky looking?

If either or both of the above then the most likely cause is a Blown Head Gasket.

Also how is the car running?
