My car makes a clicking sound when I try and turn it on. Also my car isnt turning on and its not even turning over, I just bought a battery like two months ago. I thinking its either the starter or the alternator but how can I tell which one its is?

First, recharge the battery. It sounds weak. Then take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have them check the alt output and starter draw. Since the battery is down, something tells me you either have a bad alternator or there is an electrical draw on the system when you turn everything off. If you find the alt is good, go to our homepage under the DIY section and look up the link that explains how to check for an electrical draw and check the vehicle. It is easy to do.

Let me know if you have other questions.
