My Durango is dying.

I own a 2001 Dodge Durango. In the past week it has shut itself off twice while I was driving. What could cause this? (How can I fix it?)

When does this happen, while driving or when stopping, such as when pulling up to a stop sign? Will it restart right away or do you have to wait for it to cool down for a half hour?
