On most cars their brakes has a nice easy push, but on my Dodge Stratus it is like I am pushing a rock and I dont know what could be causing it. Is it possible that it is just how the car was designed?

Always been that way? Maybe sounds like your brake BOOSTER is shot/leaking. Thats the gadget that makes brakes easy to push.

Well I'm not entirely sure because I got it used. I mean it has been checked out by a mechanic who didn't find any problems I just don't think it seems right. I'll ask the mechanic about that. I appreciate your response.

Check on parts price at local auto chain. Then you'll know how much labor they are charging.
