Rear hatch won't open

The rear hatch on my 2001 PT Cruiser will not open. It appears to be locked, but when I use the key, the lock button inside the car, or the remote to unlock it still will not come unlatched and open. Any solutions?

Hey Cruiserpt_2001,

It sounds like one of the lock rods have falling off the actuator so the door remains locked, You will need to crawl inside and remove the door panel to manually move the lock rod so you can open the door then fix the lock actuator rod, this is common problem with hatches.
