What is the size of the mounting screws for the center linkage? Dealerships want to charge me for an entire wiper transmission at the avg. Cost of $370. I am not paying that for 2 screws. The wipers have stopped working. If I cannot find the size of the screws, will self-threading scews work in lieu of the oriiginal screws?

I think if I remember correct, you are right on the 8mm. These are the screws that actually have to be installed with the head end of the screw away from you, and locking down a block of metal and the rubber buffer to the mounting bracket. Am I correct on that presumption?

OK, now I have something to go on. It is the 2 screws that mount the center of all the actuating arms. In the pic you provided, to the center and the right where everything comes together, there is a bracket where it all mounts under the windshield. The 2 screws, are screwed from behind the bracket to attach all of the mechanism so it is stable. There is a rubber buffer that fits into a port I assume to reduce vibration of the arms moving. Those 2 screws are what I need.

I looked at Lowe's online and they had 8mmx1.25x20mm screws, but I think they look a little big. I will try this morning when it is light out to see if they are a fit. Will let you know.
