Heating problems- Driving about 100 miles on a trip I had heat, on the way home I had no heat, fan worked. Truck engine temp was ok, about 210 degrees. Last year I had the same problem happen to me twice. I all ready replaced the thermostat and flushed the heater core, seemed okay. It also doesn't seem as hot as it once was, It takes longer to melt ice off my windshield. What could it be? Heater core? Actuator?

Top heater hose is hot. Lower is slightly warm. Changed thermostat last year. Attached hose to heater core and water flowed through it.

Reading lots of other posts. Many people with similar problems with their heating system. Since I have the dash apart I'm going to replace the heater core. The actuator for the heat is working and easy to replace and check if the problem happens again. Thanks All
