2001 chevy s-10. Havd a grinding/humming type noise from rear end. Took it in and the rear seal( the seal behind where the driveshaft bolts to rear end.) Was leaking so I had it replaced and they said the bearing should of been ok. But its not. Is that bearing pressed in? What does it take to replace it?

That is quite a job. There are actually 4 bearing in there and the races for 3 of them are pressed on and the 4th has to be knocked out of the housing after the pinion and differential assembly are removed. It also requires some set up work to get the differential preload and backlash set properly. In other words, not a back yard job.
