I recently had a new battery put in and also a new ignition. After those the car wouldn't start sometimes. About a week after it started dying while I was driving it. 4 times in 30 minutes.

When it refuses to start does it crank ok? If so, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and check fuel pressure. Any applicable trouble codes? Maybe you have an intermittent rpm signal?

It doesn't crank at all when it doesn't start.I had a new ignition put it because the security light was flashing and the car wouldn't start at all. So I was starting it with a screwdriver at the posts on the starter. I got the new ignition about a week ago and it started fine for 3 days then after that sometimes it wont. And now last night it started the cutting off while driving.

Hard to tell, check for applicable trouble codes. Some of the national brand autostore will check codes for free. Your bouncing around on me. I'd have to test when problem is ongoing. Usually if it is the security system you can't start it by jumping the starter, because it will disable the injectors also.
