Tranny problems

Make sure trans fluid is clean and full. If the check engine light is on, have the computer scanned to identify trouble codes. What it sounds like is what it would do if low on transmission fluid. Check the fluid if low top it off. Check and see if it has a burnt smell, If ok and within normal operating range have the fluid and filter changed. If there is a burnt smell there may be other problem within the transmission.
