2001 Cadillac Deville Won't start

I have a 01 deville and I when I got gas and the I try to start it it would not do nothing just have light on dash but no sounds the I turn it back off and back on couple time it start then I was sitting at the light wait for it to change I could hear a harming noise and smoke was comeing from under the hood and when the light change I was driving down the road and it shut off and all the light was on the dash and when I try to start it back the light on the dash was keep going on and off and I open the hood smoke was comeing from under the intake and when I try to start it again u could hear like the starter spin I guess and I turn the key to off and took it out be u could still hear the starter spin and smokeing and then it stop after awhile and now I have no light on dash like the battery dead or something I don't know I need help

Try resetting security system see pic if still won't start scan for codes and check fuel pressure with a gauge auto parts rent it

He said the engine has smoking, what does the security system have to do with that? To me it sounds like the starter needs to be replaced and I would remove the battery and have it load tested. Here is how to change the starter out so you can see what it will take to fix it. BTW it is common on these cars to have the starter go out. You will need to remove the intake manifold to do the job.
