Hi, have 2001 BMW 320i only done 125000kms. Oil light comes on occasionally in an orange color, last for about 5-8 seconds then goes away. Oil level is good, Thanks peter

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge, if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing.

The oil level sensor is bad, replace it and the problem will go away.
