Volvo S80 has dim dashboard - fuses 23 and 32 are ok

Also the bright headlights won't stay on.
I checked each fuse and put back in, and
problems cleared for 1 day; reoccurred next;
suspect ground problem but unsure where
likely intermittent ground connection might
be found.

Start at the battery. Make sure terminals are clean and tight.

If you have the light switch in the "OFF" position then the high beams or fog lights if you have any will not come on. For the brights to stay on you will need to move the switch to the "ON" position. The regulat headlights will still go off when the key is turned off. As for the cluster you either have burnt bulbs or the cluster itself is bad. Try replacing at least one cluster bulb to see if it will come on. When you pull the cluster out make sure the key is off or you could set an SRS light to come on. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
