Problems about gears not workingn(transmittion)

The shift stick does move but you can tell that it didnt shift gears. After moving from parking to reverse or drive, I push the accelerator and it doesn't move. It just skates. I put transmittion fluid and sometimes it works but when I brake and try to get it to go again, it skates again.
