2000 Toyota Celica 3Rd gear

My celica grinds only when shifting into 3rd gear but if I shift into it slowly it goes away.

The 3rd gear syncro has probably failed, try changing the gear box oil first but I feel that the syncro will be due for replacing, this will require the transmission to be stripped and re built.
