Hello after rebuilding engine #1 cyl. Burning oil. Leak down test found air leaking into crankcase. Torn down engine found top of #1 piston wet with oil removed piston and the rings look normal want to check cylinder bore but need specifications if you can provide them that would be great. Its a 2000 SC1 1.9L SOHC engine. Forgot to mention the cylinder head was overhauled also. Thank you

What was done to the head valve stem seals etc etc please give details? Also you ringed the engine?Did you hone the cylinders?Did that cylinder do that before the rebuild?Honestly when saturn remaned those engines to sell at the dealership they always bored the cylinders and put over sized pistons and rings due to the oil consumption issues. What happens is the cylinders get worn in the shape of a coke bottle and if you dont have them bored you will burn oil.
