my car is vibrating really bad when driving what could this be? its a rover 25 1.8gti vvc

Need a hint of information. Where do you feel it? In the steering wheel? Seats? When braking? When accelerating? What speeds does it occur. Without some details, I can think of at least a dozen guesses that are all common and would all be wrong.
