WHILE TRYING TO START MY CAR AT A WAL-MART, IT CUT OUT AND THE SECURITY LIGHT START TO FLASH. I KNOW THAT THE SECURITY IN THE IGITION SWITCH IS PART OF THE LOOP, I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW BIG OF A JOB IS IT TO REPLACE. PS. I RESET THE THE SYSTEM AND THE CAR STARTED THATS HOW I KNOW THE IGITION SWITCH IS BAD.
PLEASE HELP,

If the ignition swith is bad, it has to be replaced. Ignition switch and lock are separate components and can be replaced separately.

Replacing the switch would not affect the security system.
