2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse misfire and smoke

I have an eclipse v6 gt that is having a misfire in cyl 1 the vehicle had the timing belt just replaced and it is releasing white smoke only when I accelate it hard it does not over heat as I kno that the white smoke has something to do with the cooling system and as for the misfire it just happened recently

Have the compression tested. Check the spark plugs and related components.

If the smoke is slightly grey(tinge of blue), it is engine oil being burnt in cylinders or getting to exhaust system via the valve seals.
