Loss of electrical power to radio, power windows and fan. Had battery checked. Found to be fried. Replaced and now have power and all running normally. My question is should I be concerned regarding the altenator? My new battery is in place and my voltage guage on the dash is showing just under halfway on the scale.

Use an inexpensive digital voltmeter to measure the battery voltage while the engine is running. If it is between 13.75 and 14.75 volts, it is most likely okay. If you have any other symptoms, have the generator tested for maximum current and "ripple". Ripple is measured from "high" to "low" and you want it to be low.
