My van was making a squeaking or chirping type noise so I took it to the shop eve though it runs and drives fine except for the noise. The mechanic tried to replace the drive belt first but that didn't work. Next he replaced the belt tensioner that didn't work either. Then had my alternator rebuilt but that didn't work either. Any idea what might be making the noise?

If the vehicle sqeaks sitting still, then its from the engine compartment. Take the belt off and crank the vehicle. If it still squeaks its not from any of the pulleys. Your vehicle may have a camshaft sensor that goes where a distributor would have been. They can cause weird squeaks you cant find
