I own a 2000 jeep cherokee and now it is having some major window problems. All of the windows will work from the master switch(except for the passenger one which doesn't work at all right now) but not from the individual switches. When I bought the car they all worked fine. However over time all the switches gradually stopped working on all the doors except for the drivers switch. I've tried switching out the switches and it didn't fix the problem. The passenger window is stuck wide open now and will not roll back up. Any ideas of what's going on? Its extremely frustrating.

Is there power to the window motors? As far as the open window, there are two wires that go to the motor. Power is supplied to one wire to make it go down, and then to the other wire to make it go up. Basically, you are reversing polarity to the motor and making it run a different direction. You can use a battery charger to put it up.

If there is no power to the other motors or switches, check the main switch on the driver's door. It supplies power to all. Also, check the wiring between the driver's door and door frame. It is known to go bad.

Thank you for your answer! And the passenger door it odd. When I bought it it never did this. But slowly over time all the windows (except for the drivers one) would randomly decide when to work. The passenger one quit a month ago. And today something happened spontaneously and my friend rolled down the passenger window. It hasn't done that in a month, Just happened randomly.

I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE (LITTLE INFO, AND NO ENGINE SIZE)--SO I PLUGGED IN "CHEROKEE CLASSIC" TO OBTAIN THIS DIAGRAM--I HAD OTHER CHOICES, BUT I WOULD THINK THE PWR WINDOWS CIRCUITS WOULD BE THE SAME IN ALL MODELS (JUST A HUNCH)

IF NOT, GIVE ME THE CORRECT INFO, I'LL TRY AGAIN.I'LL ATTEMPT TO GET YOU WHATEVER SYSTEM(S) YOU WANT. TRY TO BE SPECIFIC, THERE ARE MANY MANY DIAGRAMS

IF YOU CANNOT READ THIS DIAGRAM. LET ME KNOW (CJ, CAN/CAN'T READ THE DARN DIAGRAM!), I CAN INITIATE A SAFE WAY TO GET IT TO YOU, WITHOUT YOU BROADCASTING YOUR "GOODIES" IN OPEN FORUM

HERE IT IS, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE AT 2CARFELLERS, 'TIL I POST 'EM. THEY ARE "CRISP" IN MY DOWNLOADS
