Engine Surges As Accelarated

I have a 2000 Honda Civic Dx we just replaced the engine with a stock replacement ZC engine everything went well and started right up but after a few mins the engine ran a little rough, but eveything settled down as we took it for a test drive we noticed as you accelarated the engine surged and bogged and everytime it would surge the check engine light would flash as well the main relay would click and speedometerwould fluctuate up and down replaced MAP sensor cleaned Idle air control valve and also replaced coolant temp sensor but continues to do the same im am my last hope before having to take it to the dealer please HELP

Check engine light on
Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

Check engine light comes on only when it surges but does not stay on scanned the car no pending codes so what else could it be

TPS? Get a scan done to see if any trouble codes are present. Most parts outlet provides free scanning services.

Recheck the ground circuit connections and all wireharness connectors for looseness.
