How would I go about resetting my security system. The battery has been off for over 24 hours.

Ok there's a problem with that. My gmc jimmy is having an issue. I can't even get my truck to turn over. Been told there is a connection problem. But have cleaned both negative and positive cable. Still nothing. When I turn my key to accessories my over head lights come on and radio comes on and my security lights flashes like always. Try and crank it I lose all power. I have checked my battery and its good. But my headlights don't come on when its in accessories like they would before. Pleas help me!

Check the other side of the cables where they hook up to the engine for ground and make sure they are tight and clean you need to find out why you are loosing power before I can help you.

Ok I will do that also. I'm taking the starter and altnator to get tested this morning to see if they are both good. While I have those ill clean ground for those. The one rusted ground I had I got the rust off and its got a good connection.
