The low coolant light came on and a few minutes later the car started smoking under the hood. Someone told me to turn the heat on when im driving and now all that does is blow out cold air and the car is still smoking. I added coolant in also and it didnt seem to work. Do you know what the problem could be?

As you know now, turning the heater on does not fix an overheating car. You may have done serious internal damage now by driving it that way. The first sep is to pressure test the system and repair the leaks.
