I have a 2000 ford ranger xlt 4x4. Makes constant squeaking sound as wheels turn and gets more frequent the faster I go but stops squeaking when I apply brakes and then starts up again as I accelerate. Is this a brake problem or wheel bearing?

Start by checking the wheel bearings

That sounds like the warning sensor on the brake pads. Examine the brakes and look for the sensors and see if any are touching.
