2000 F-150 HD. Ditgital milege not working on cluster. What should I do. Can't see any milage.

It doe's not light or activate when engine is running.

Can you see it when the engine is not running? Does it accumulate miles? Does the speedometer work? It may just be bad electrics in the cluster. Not too bad of a swap from salvage parts. Let me know those answers. Thanks!
