My 2000 dodge 1500 2x4 will run great but then when I drive it when it is raining or snowing out it starts to cut out and acts like it wants to die but when the roads are dry it does not do this my engine light is on any suggestion on what to do?

My truck drives great except when it rains or snow and I go through a snow or rain puddle then it acts like it is going to die I have changed the plugs but it is still doing it.

Please help me :-) I love this site!

Try damp proofing the ignition parts/wires with silicone spray or some other damp proofer.

When this happens at night open hood and see if you see stray ignition sparks around ignition parts.

The only way I have experienced them going out is if they get plugged, or smell like rotten eggs.
