I have a dodge intrepid 2000, one night the light panel starts to fluctuate in intensity when we start to drive. So we quit driving it. Next time I start the engine and notice the engine tend to vibrate when the rpm is around 3900. Any hints about this?

Do a voltage check at battery with car running. Should be 13.5 to 14.5 DC volts. Rev engine to see how voltage changes or not.

Also turn on wipers, heater fan, lights to see if voltage stays in the range of 13-14 volts.

The voltage stays within the 13.5 to 14 range when the lights and heater fans are turn on. The real concern is the vibration when rpm reaches 3800-to 3900.
