noise on tire area

my van makes a real bad sound on the tires when i turn right or left, what can this be and is it expensive to fix?

what kind of noise is it? could be a lot of things. Does vehicle speed make a diifernece in noise? does depressing the brakes make the noise louder or softer? also is it light cornering or hard turns?
