2000 chrysler cirrus rattles in passenger side rear. What could it be? Exhaust seems tight. Wondering if it could be suspension

Sounds like a reasonable assumption. You should get it looked at and estimated.

First check for a broken anti-sway bar link and a loose wheel center cap if it has one. Struts can cause a rattle too but it's more of a thumping sound, not a metallic sound.
