I have a 2000 Chevy S-10 with 127,887 miles on it, it has a 4.3 V6 and the check engine light came on what might the problem be? The light also stays on

If you could go to a auto part's store and have them scan your computer for code's and let me know the exact code number's you have then I can help you and tell you a lot more. There are lot's of code's and reason's that light can be on.
