Can you just replace timing tensioner. Replaced chain less than year ago

Yes youo can change it if the timing chain is worn again see this tip
Had one doing same thing. Removed plug and cleand and flushed hole behind chain and installed new plug. Then flushed engine. Problem solved. Hasnt been back, still on road almost a year now.
