According to another website the 1996-02 5.7L Chevy V8 has a problem with worn valve seats. Is this a common problem?

All engine are prone to burnt valves and valve seats, i would not consider that these engines are more prone than others there are many variables that can come into consideration, suffice to say a well maintained engine should not normally suffer premature valve problems.
