I have 2000 Cavalier. When you start it, it starts and runs great for about 1 second, then it dies. Also the headlights and gauges don't work and the computer port (to scan it) doesn't have power. I checked the fuses under the hood, some corrosion. I cleaned them and replaced. After that it started and ran great but still the headlights and com. Port have no power. On the 3rd start it went back to dying. Now back to square one. Any thoughts?

DLC pin # 16 receives its power from the Cigar fuse (20A) in instrument panel fuse box.

For the headlights, does both high and low beams fail to work? Have you checked/tested the Dark/Blue and Orange wires at headlamp bulbs for battery voltage?

For the gauges, check BCM/CLU fuse ( 10A) and CLSTR fuse (10 A) in instrument panel fuse box.
