I have an Astro with a p 420 catylitic converter low effitiency

While driving engine slightly hasitates seems to indicate missfire

Cat has failed most likely from a missfire you have. The unburned fuel is what kills the converter.
I suggest you resolve the missfires and you will still most likely have to replace the cat as well.
