Why Break light and ABS light is on? Is 1998 Chevy Astro parts compatable with a 2000 Chevy Astro?

My break light and abs light is on and stays on. It also has a rear axial leak on the driver side. Can this cause this problem?

You need the code pulled to see the area of a fault. A tech can check for you to see where the issue lies. Some parts are interchangeable but you should call a parts store and see. Are both 2 wheel drive? If they are not, then no. If they are both the same then yes, I believe so.

The lr axle bearing and seal failure may contaminate the sensor, if it has one, but in most cases it will not effect its operation.

Just to add to this one another good way to check part if oarts from other years will fit. Would be to go to www. Rockauto. Com find your car in the catalog look up the part click on the part number link and it will bring up all the years models etc the part fits.
