Trying to diagnose cause of both PCM fuses blowing on the car listed above Z24 with 2.4 engine, which will not start. It turns over and has 150 psi compression, and has fuel at the fuel rail. The spark plugs are in very good shape. The only issue I can find is that the 10 amp PCM fuse in the interior fuse box, and the 10 amp PCM fuse in the fuse box in the engine compartment are both blown, and when I put new ones in they both blew. The wiring diagram I could find shows that the PCM wire in the engine compartment is an orange wire that goes from the fuse box to the PCM at the #20 location, which is identified as "battery." I do not have a wiring diagram for the interior fuse box, so I do not know where that wire goes. Based on the diagram, it appears that the orange wire from the fuse box under the hood sends power to the PCM, but I am not sure. Before I go through the task of tracing the wire to see if it it is grounding against something, does anyone know if both fuses blowing is a sign of a bad PCM, or some other known condition?

Good morning,

I would start by dis connecting the PCM and see if the fuses still blow. If it does then it is not the PCM.

If they do not fail, then the PCM is your issue.

I attached a wiring diagram for you to view.
