Clunking noise comeing from front end

I have a 2000 cadi escaled and I have a clunk every time I stop and go? I have checked ball joints and they dont feel lose any ideas

This could be in the brakes or a bad strut. The noise where?

It is very posiable that it is the breakes when I checked the ball joints I put new pads on it and the clunk was still there but I did notice that the pad thats sits inside the caliper was getting hung up so I cleaned it off a littel. Could this still be my prob, and would u sugesta new caliper or clean it off with a file or sand paper

How is it hanging up and what did u chessle.U didnt repair it properly sounds like a pad clunk. U sprayed brake adhecive on the pads right?That pervents pad hop.

I found the prob it was the caliper itself was sicking and I replace it with new one and clunk went away. Thank u for your time and info very happy with this site and will be back in future. Thank u
