2000 Buick Regal LS

My Buick regal will spit and sputter until about 55mph or higher and it runs normal. It doesn't stale while driving or when its at a complete stop its just taking off it just spits and sputters constantly. While it sits in park it idles and sounds normal. What could the problem be?

It comes on one day off for a day or two also my service engine soon light comes on but they don't stay on all the time.

When the light comes on, have the computer scanned. Most parts stores will do it for free. Find out what trouble codes are there and let me know what you find.
