I have a 2000 audi 1.8 AWD the timing belt just broke does this automatically mean that the valves are bent or could there be a chance there ok? Just purchased car couple wks ago the timing belt broke it was a new one but the wrong size put on does this mean the valves are bent?

The A4 has what is called an, "Interference" engine which means that it does not shut down when the timing belt fails. So, they is a good chance that the valves are bent. You will have to pull the head off and inspect them. More than likely you will be able to see the points in the tops of the pistons where they hit.
