After assembly, the Jeep ran fine for about 3 hours then developed a serious Hesitation during acceleration and the engine light came on. Fault code P0202 Injector Circuit/Open Cylinder 2 came up. I inspected the injector and the wire connector and all seems in order. After inspection I cleared the old fault, and retested and the same fault came up again. I also, inspected the old injectors and determined that the seal at the end of one of the injectors was missing and MAY have fallen into the engine creating the fault. Can you tell me what course of action I can do to rectify this. I am fairly competent in DIY Mechanics and have a Mechanic up the road if the going get rough.

If a rubber O-ring got into the cylinder, my guess is it is already burned up and gone. However, to be honest, the chance of it getting in via an injector port is really slim. Have you checked to make sure the injector is getting a pulse?

I consulted with a mechanic up the road and he agrees with you that, if the seal/o-ring felling into the Fuel Injector (FI) port it is long gone out the exhaust. He called a friend with a gauge to determine if the #2 injector is getting proper electrical feed and that turned out positive. The only other option I had was to pull the new FI, and replace it with one of the old ones. I cleaned the old one as best I could, transferred the new O-rings from the new FI to the Old FI and installed the old FI. I cleared the code and started the engine. All seems to be okay for the moment, and will continue to monitor. BLUF: I switched the new FI for the old FI and the engine seems to be running just fine. I guess the New FI was faulty.
