Hello, I own a 92 Dodge Dakota. Im newer to using a stick but dont think this problem is due to my lack of expeirience.
SOmetimes, usually not to long after I start driving, If I have it in 1st or 2nd gear and am traveling a very low steady speed the truck starts bogging out and jerks as if its losing power (never stalls though) soon after it begins it will stop. I dont have my foot on the clutch when this happens and I know im going well over the required rpms (1000) so I dont think its stalling. It will also make a noise that seems to be coming from the rear end when it happens.

Also on a side matter is it ok if its hard to put the stick in first gear, I almost have to force it every time.

If you could help that would be great. Thanks

Check clutch adjustment ifyou have it and check fluid level if hydraulic. You may have a asynchro problem in trans. Try cleaning throttle plate with choke cleaner on both sides and iac hole if still doing it check fuel pressurewith a gauge autoparts rent it.
