Car will start and stall with no throughtle.

Car will start and stall with no throughtle responce. Battery was dead and car new to me. Replaced battery and same thing happened. Unpluged t-body and will start fine with throughtle response but wont idle. Suspect t-body but is very expensive and needs to be programed. Please advise.

1999 old body style golf or new body style?

The throttle adaptation is the only thing that needs to be done. Fitting a used throttle body shouldn't be too expensive.
