Hi there,

No I believe that it will with draw from hearer box. Remove glove box and trim, look under heater box there are 3 (i think ) screws and the electrical loom, undo plug and screws and motor should come down
Have a close look as you undo it and don't force anything an I feel that it will come out.

Hi there,

you should be able to access the blower motor once you remove the glove box, it may just have leaf litter fouling the fan, this is fairly common problem.

Heater problem
1998 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

MY heater motor works fine, but the fan housing is broken and it needs replacement. How do I get to the fan to replace it? I assume I need to remove the dashboard, but have no idea on how to do that. Please advise.

Also, can you recommend a reliable, inexpensive vendors for quality replacement parts?

The best approach is to use the car repair link in this thread or get a Haynes manual. This is a complicated sequence of removal, so an actual step by step procedure would be best.

There are two fans, disconnect power connector to fan (one at a time) to isolate which fan is making noise.

Cooling fan should have 4 bolts, one on each corner. AC fan will require removing the grill.
